Question: Can my children bring their friends with them to an SCA event?

Required Paperwork

If you are bringing Minors (youth under the age of 18) who are not your own children, you MUST present this waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian when you check in at our gate:

Recommended Paperwork

The SCA provides a second version of the minor waiver form that has additional space for the waiver to be notarized (see below). It is recommended, but not required, that the notarized form be used if you are bringing guest minors to an SCA event.

Activities For Minors

It is the policy of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. that parents and legal guardians are responsible for their children and guest minors at all SCA events.

Not every SCA event may offer activities specifically designed for children. Please contact the individual event organizer, known as the "autocrat", in advance if you have any questions about what activities may be of interest to your children and their guests. Some arts & sciences class instructors will allow youths to take their classes if they are accompanied by an adult.

Thank you for your cooperation.
