Saturday, May 3 - Northern
Region Rapier Academy and Champions Tourney in the Province
of Malagentia, Saco, Maine.
Classes begin at 10:00 AM and include Introduction to Fencing (Lord Jean du Montagne, Captain LRA), Advanced Melee Work (Master Julien de LaPointe), So You Want To Be A Fencing Marshal & Introduction to Fencing Research (Don Christian Woolfe), This is Not Period Form "How to Win Tournaments" (Don Brendan Olthursson Veassllurd).
Dayboard will be served at Noon. The Champions Tournament will start at 1:00 pm. Inspections and authorizations will be available throughout the day. Please contact the autocrat with any questions.
Saturday, May 10 - Demo
sponsored by the soon-to-be-incipient Shire of
Hadrian's Keep. 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM at the Union Masonic Lodge,
149 Sennebec Road, Union, Maine 04862 ((207) 785-3204). Free dayboard
for SCA participants.
There will be fighting, a seige weapon display, dance, archery and thrown
weapons. The coordinator, Alexander, welcomes other martial activities
(fencing, youth combat) and encourages anyone to bring their finery for an
arts and sciences display.

Province of Malagentia SCA Demo at the 35th Annual Old Port Festival
Canal Plaza in the Old Port Area of Portland, Maine

SCA Demo schedule at the Old Port festival:
7:00-9:30 am - Information booth set up / find parking
10:00 am - Line up for the parade down Exchange Street. This is a foot parade only so there will not be a flat bed available for musicians. Any musician that can walk and play are MORE then welcome if they wish to join in.
11:00 am - Parade begins and is expected to take about 20-30 minutes.
12:00-1:00 pm - SCA demo at the Canal Plaza
1:00-5:00
pm - Activities off and on at the information booth site.
The Information booth area is located near the Canal Plaza at the intersection of
Temple Street and Middle Street. It needs to be manned by 2-4 people from 11:00
am - 5:00 pm. Astrid would like this to be done in shifts so the same people are not
committed to that location all day.
There will be two tables, a 10 x 10 easy up (cover). Please bring items for the A+S display. Color copies of any scrolls would be welcome (in clear plastic covers).
