Welcome to Endewearde!
The Barony of Endewearde is a branch of the East Kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). If you are new to the SCA or just want to learn more about this non-profit medieval recreation group several good resources can be found on the SCA Newcomer's webpage.
There are a wide variety of activities running on a regular schedule in the Bangor and Waterville areas. Adult heavy armored fighting (often called "Rattan" for the wooden swords used), youth armored combat, adult and youth rapier combat, archery, thrown weapons, various artisan activities such as metalworking, leatherwork, stained glass, music, dance, costuming, needlework, and much more.

Next Baronial Meeting in June on a Sunday afternoon
The next baronial meeting will be on a Sunday in June (date to be confirmed) from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Bangor Housing Authority gymnasium at 161 Davis Road, Bangor, Maine. If you have items for the agenda please contact Lord Otto Gottlieb at seneschal@endewearde.eastkingdom.org

Baronial Seat Selection Process
Nominations are now closed for nomination of candidates for the baronial seat of Endewearde. There are five candidate couples (listed in order of nomination acceptance): Lord Ané du Vey & Lady Sylvia du Vey, Mistress Brita Mairi Svensdottir & The Honourable Lord Frasier MacLeod, Master Godric of Hamtun & Baroness Margaret of Rochester, Lord Gwillim Kynith & Lady Constancia de Vianne, and Baroness Aneleda Falconbridge & Lord Nero Calamus.
The current issue of the Northern Watch newsletter published on March 16th presents brief overviews written by the candidates regarding their interest in becoming the first baron and baroness of Endewearde. There are many other fine articles in this issue which can be found through this link to the March 2013 issue of Northern Watch newsletter[pdf download]. Candidates have additionally been posting information via the Endewearde facebook group (open group) and through our official communications forum, the Endewearde yahoo group (subscription approval is required). The candidates welcome any conversations or questions.
The timeline for this selection process was outlined in the Endewearde quarterly meeting held on 2/03/2013 and is as follows below.
Due to extenuating and unforseen circumstances the polling process must be issued again. Updates regarding the start and end dates of the new polling time period will be announced on the Endewearde yahoo group and published on this website. Here is our current schedule:

Endewearde's Silver Anniversary
Celebration

Twenty five years have passed since the East
Kingdom Shire of Endewearde celebrated its change from incipient
to full shire status. Today the tender young Barony of
Endewearde eagerly stands at the head of a new path, certain to
encounter many exciting changes as its journey begins. Thus we
pause for a day to rest and extend welcome to our dear friends
so they may join us in a 25th Silver Anniversary Celebration.
We shall rejoice in this occasion with displays of prowess in
the combat arts of heavy list and rapier. There will also be
lively dance, delectable foods and glorious song echoing from
the fort ramparts. A light fare dayboard will be served as well
as a mid-afternoon dessert of beverages and cake so we may
gather to celebrate the good fortunes of faire Endewearde.
Additional information regarding youth & other activities as
well as site specific information will be posted.
